Planned Parenthood does not offer a plan for parenthood
Planned Parenthood names a new president to replace retiring President Cecile Richards. The new President is the Health Commissioner of Baltimore, Maryland, Leana Wen. She is a 35-year old doctor who, ironically, survived China's forced abortion procedures when their one-child policy was in place. Now, she heads up the largest abortion business in America which killed 322,000 babies in 2018. The rhetoric coming from President Wen is that "for more than 100 years PP has done more for women's health than any other." Pray for Leana Wen's heart to be changed and that she be convicted about the blood on her hands.
It is disappointing but despite the nay votes of some of our pro-life Congressmen, a budget passed the House of Representatives and was signed into law by President Trump on Oct 1, 2018 that will continue to fund Planned Parenthood via Medicaid reimbursement through the Department of Health and Human Services. The current budget bills mean that PP will continue to receive funding through 2019. The original version of this bill by the House included strong pro-life riders that the Senate stripped out.
