FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, May 3, 2017 (Toledo, Ohio): Federal elected officials have negotiated a budget plan that makes no changes whatsoever to stop using citizens' taxes to underwrite abortion giant Planned Parenthood. The bill to be voted on this week continues funding Planned Parenthood under Title X and Medicaid at the same levels as before. Your immediate action is needed, as the House is expected to vote on the bill Wednesday May 3rd, followed by Senate action May 5th, so that it can go into effect before the May 5th midnight budget deadline. "Pro-lifers helped elect President Trump and the Republican majorities in both Houses of Congress because they promised to defund Planned Parenthood. In the meantime, evidence continues to mount of Planned Parenthood affiliates protecting child rapists, committing Medicaid fraud, ignoring health and safety standards, and harvesting and selling aborted babies' tissues and organs," said Ed Sitter, Executive Director, Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati. "If Republicans in Congress won't defund Planned Parenthood now, when will they ever?"
"This budget is stunning disregard for the babies who will continue to die because of a government-sponsored abortion industry," Sitter continued. "It's time for our elected officials to take action to protect innocent human beings, not condemn them to death. The time for excuses is over."
